Bob’s passion for travel and adventure began in 1978, with a month-long family road trip across the United States, visiting as many national parks as possible. That early introduction to the country’s natural wonders sparked a lifelong love of the outdoors, leading him to backpack throughout New England before progressing into rock climbing, mountaineering, and winter ascents in the Adirondacks and on Mount Washington.

Over the decades, Bob’s adventures have taken him to some of the world’s most spectacular mountain ranges. He has climbed nearly all the major Cascade volcanoes, summited Mount Whitney in California, and explored peaks throughout the Canadian and American Rockies. His passion for high-altitude adventure has since led him to Patagonia, Aconcagua in the Andes, Mount Kilimanjaro, Morocco’s Atlas Mountains, the Himalayas of Nepal and India, and the European Alps.

With more than 45 years of outdoor adventure and travel experience, Bob has explored over 90 countries, developing a deep appreciation for the natural beauty, local traditions, and indigenous cultures that make each destination unique. For Bob, the greatest rewards of travel extend far beyond reaching a summit. They come from connecting with local people, discovering places off the beaten path, sharing memorable meals, and experiencing the world through the eyes of those who call it home.

Bob also brings 18 years of experience in the beer industry, working with companies in the United States and Europe. This background has shaped another of his great passions: exploring the world through its food, beer, wine, spirits, and culinary traditions. From historic pubs and traditional breweries to regional specialties and family-run establishments, Bob loves introducing travelers to the authentic flavors and cultural stories that bring a destination to life.

Whether trekking through remote mountain landscapes, discovering hidden cultural treasures, or raising a glass in a centuries-old pub, Bob believes the best journeys combine adventure, culture, great food, and meaningful connections.

His goal is simple: to share the places he loves, introduce travelers to experiences they might never discover on their own, and create journeys that are as enriching as they are unforgettable.
